Seller standards

Last updated: 2026-10-14

Purpose

These draft Seller standards describe expectations for artisans and studios on Nile Studio. They summarize current product rules and are not a final lawyer-signed contract.

Launch commercial fees and payouts are defined in the Seller Commercial Policy (DEC-024 / DEC-025). Production settlement execution remains subject to approved payment fund-flow (OPEN-001).

Eligibility and onboarding

Sellers must complete the seller application with accurate shop and contact information required by the onboarding process.

An administrator reviews applications. Rejected applicants may receive an explanation and may resubmit when permitted.

Only approved studios may operate publicly on the marketplace.

Listings and content

Products must be submitted for moderation before they can appear as approved, published listings.

Listing content should be truthful, respect Arabic and English publication rules, and represent handmade or made-to-order goods appropriately.

Stock-tracked products must not oversell available inventory. Made-to-order products should reflect realistic preparation expectations when those fields are provided.

Fees and payouts

There is no listing fee and no monthly subscription at launch. Nile Studio’s seller-facing commission is 14% of merchandise subtotal (excluding delivery), charged only when a sale is settlement-eligible. Nile Studio absorbs buyer payment-provider fees so sellers are not charged a separate processing fee on top of the 14%.

Settlement-eligible amounts are paid weekly (Sunday batch, or the next Egyptian business day), after the related order is delivered, with a 0 EGP minimum. Marketing may describe payouts in EGP via bank transfer, InstaPay, or mobile wallets; production payout rails remain subject to OPEN-001.

Commission may be subject to applicable taxes. Detailed post-delivery refund allocation remains under OPEN-008.

Orders and fulfillment

Sellers should fulfill orders according to the fulfillment transitions available in the seller tools.

Order snapshots and financial history must be preserved. Payment proof is never based solely on a browser redirect.

Doorstep pickup and packaging support are planned launch benefits via a delivery agency; provider and delivery pricing details remain under OPEN-007 and OPEN-015.

Trust and safety

Fraudulent applications, misleading listings, or abusive behavior may lead to suspension of products, studios, or accounts.

Buyers should contact Nile Studio support for marketplace issues rather than relying on direct seller chat outside approved channels.
